The Hydout is built around one idea, which is keeping your cartridge out of sight. A magnetic cover fits over the whole cartridge, so what sits in your hand looks like a plain rectangle rather than a vaporizer with a cartridge sticking out of the top. It is the most discreet 510 battery we stock.

The Cartridge Disappears Completely

The magnetic cover fits over the cartridge and holds itself in place. Nothing protrudes, nothing catches on a pocket lining, and nobody glancing at it on a table knows what it is. When you want it, the cover lifts off in one movement and clicks back just as easily.

Five Voltage Presets

Three clicks cycles through 2.4V, 2.8V, 3.2V, 3.6V and 3.8V. That is two more steps than the 510 Original gives you, and the extra resolution at the lower end matters if you run thinner oils that scorch easily. An LED readout shows where you are and how much charge is left.

Room For Larger Cartridges

The housing takes cartridges up to 2g, ceramic or metal tipped. Plenty of slim batteries leave a wide cartridge perched awkwardly on top; the Hydout swallows it. At 90 x 37.5 x 18.5mm the body is broader than a pen but noticeably flatter, which is what makes it sit well in a pocket.

Ten Second Preheat

Two clicks runs a 1.8V preheat for ten seconds, loosening a thick or cold oil before your first proper draw. It is a small feature that solves a genuinely common annoyance, especially in winter.

Draw Activated Or Button Fired

Use it however you prefer. Breath activation means you can simply draw, or hold the single button if you want manual control over the exact moment it fires.

How To Use The G Pen Hydout

1. Lift off the magnetic cover and screw your 510 cartridge in, turning clockwise until snug.
2. Click the button five times to switch the battery on.
3. Click three times to cycle through the five voltage presets. Around 2.8V is a sensible starting point.
4. Draw from the cartridge, or hold the button while you draw. Double-click first for a ten second preheat. Refit the cover when you are done.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Clean the 510 thread with a cotton bud and a little isopropyl alcohol whenever oil finds its way in, and allow it to dry completely before refitting a cartridge. Wipe the cover and body with a dry cloth only, and keep the magnet contact faces clear so the cover keeps seating properly.
