This is the piece the balloon actually slips onto. On Arizer's desktop units the bag fills through the Glass Mini Whip, seats over this frosted mouthpiece and is held in place by O-rings. Once it is full you detach the whole bag and draw straight from the glass, which is what makes balloon sessions so easy to pass around.

It is borosilicate throughout with an 11mm frosted male joint, and like all glass parts it is a sensible thing to own two of.

Arizer specifies borosilicate for this part, so it takes repeated heating and cleaning without complaint and adds nothing of its own to the flavour. The frosting is on the ground glass joint, which is what gives it a secure, friction-fit seal.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Soak in 99% isopropyl alcohol for at least thirty minutes, rinse under warm water and dry thoroughly before use, or run it through the utensils compartment of a dishwasher. Keep the ground joint clean and free of residue so it continues to seal properly against the whip.
